Travel destination: London

The Beginning

Empezaremos por el principio. Todo empezó cuando mis padres dijeron que me pagaban un viaje por haber acabado la carrera (en los cinco reglamentarios años, eso sí). Tanto insistieron que al final decidí aceptar amablemente la invitación ;). El destino lo tenía claro, creo que ni lo pensé dos segundos: LONDRES.

Preparations
Y qué fue lo primero que hice? Documentarme, por supuesto. Compré la revista "Siete leguas", que vale 7€ porque aquel mes de septiembre traía de regalo la guía Lonely Planet de Londres. Nada más tener la guía entre mis manos la hojeé de arriba a abajo. Horarios, precios, qué visitar, metro, bus, etc. La guía es genial, trae el mapa del metro, el mapa del centro de londres, itinerarios recomendados...(dios! la adoro) También busqué información por internet e imprimí unos cuantos mapas (para poder pintarrajearlos a gusto al trazar el itinerario sin fastidiar mi maravillosa guía). Después de dos días creo que me la sabía de pé a pá.

Booking online

Bien, ló unico que faltaba era reservar el vuelo y el hotel por internet. Después de mirar muchas web, me decidí por Rumbo. El viaje salía sobre 500 euros cada uno unos cuatro días. A los pocos días, lo compramos a través de Rumbo, y cuál fue mi sorpresa cuando ponía precio final: 525€ los dos, avión y hotel con desayuno incluido!!!!

Ya no me podía echar atrás, hice las maletas, cambié dinero en el banco (las libras eran como billetes de Monopoly) y cambié mi tarjeta por una Visa electrón, que es de débito, y me vino de perlas para no tener que andar con dinero encima, porque me la aceptaron en todas partes.

Let's start from the beginning. It started when my parents told me they would pay me a trip as a reward to finish my career (in the five set years, of course). They insisted a lot, so i finally accepted the invitation ;). I have the destintation very clear, i think i didn't think it for more than two seconds: LONDON.

What was the first thing i did? Getting information, of course. I bought the magazine "Siete leguas" which cost 7€ because that month (september) it gave a Lonely Planet guidebook about London for free. The moment I had it in my hands, I read it up and down. Schedules, prices, what to visit, tube, bus, etc. The guide is great, it has the tube map, the london town centre, recommended itineraries...(god! iI adore it). I also looked for information on the internet and I printed some maps (just to be able to write over it and don't spoil my wonderfoul guidebook). After two days I think I learnt it from start to end. The only thing left was booking online the hotel and the flight. I finally decided to buy it from Rumbo. The trip was 500€ each one four days. We bought it a few days later, and I was gratefully surprised when the final price were 525€ two person, flight and hotel wiht breakfast included!!

I couldn't go back, I packed my things, changed the money (the pounds were like Monopoly banknotes) and changed my debit card for a Visa electrón, and it suited me very well because I didn't have to have any money in cash, because they accepted it in every store.
